Hillside plots after the heavy rains
Walked the hillside plots after last week's rain. The plots with grass strips along the contour held together noticeably better than the bare ones — you can see where soil moved and where it did not.
No measurements, just what is visible on the ground. Recording it as an observation.
The cooperative has asked to extend the grass strips to the remaining plots before the next rains. Status: Progressing.

Seedling quality is inconsistent between suppliers
Members are buying seedlings from several suppliers and the difference in establishment is obvious within two weeks.
We have started recording which supplier each batch came from so the conversation is based on something other than memory. No conclusions yet — one season of notes is not enough to name a supplier.
